O-range plus has new features. Progress indicator, hint arrow, compass display and a new method to skip controls.
Progress indicator
![]() |
When you select show progress in the Settings menu a circular progress bar is shown on each display. The progress bar indicates the distance to the next control. Full progress bar (100%) is the inital distance from last control to the next control, and the progress bar reduces as closer you get to the next control. |
Hint arrow
The hint arrow shows the direction to the next control. When the arrow is at 12 o'clock you are running directly towards next control. When the arrow points at 6 o'clock, you are running in the oposite direction to next control.
Using progress bar and hint arrow makes it easier to see your status during all displays. For example you can check the clock in the Time display and still see the distance, direction, the next control number and code. |
Compass
The compass display works like a typical orienteering compass. The needle always shows the direction to North.
The compass can also be combined with the progress bar and the hint arrow. In this display you are running directly to the control in east direction and you have ran about 30% of the total distance to the first control. |
Active Course
Press My course in the main menu to open the Active Course display.
In the Active Course display you see the course name, event name, how many controls the course has and the length of the course. Press the upper rigth button to open the course menu.
Select Load course to download s new course from the Home page in www.o-range.no. In this menu you can also change Modes or Control Radius. |
Skip controls
During a race you can press the esc-button to perform a manual punch. During a Regular race you can press the up-button, or swipe up if your watch does not have an up- button.

Then you open the Go to control menu where you can select the control you want to run to. This will not stop the leg time and you can jump forward or backward as you like.
